I hope to see you at PLC-Grinnell this weekend as we will be covering week 2 of the sermon series "The Great Omission".  Pastor John will be challenging us to include others with our summer activities as we leverage our plans and schedules to bring God the glory this summer.   As always, you don't want to miss it!

What's coming this Sunday

This Sunday, we start a new series called "The Great Omission".  It will be a great challenge for us to live out our mission of reaching this community instead of getting sucked under by all the plans and activites of the summer that can easily pull us away from the mission.  Dont miss it!

You also won't want to miss the worship set.  Check it out HERE. 

It is also communion Sunday - which is ALWAYS a great experience. (Don't forget the gluten free wafers are at the connection desk)

Sounds like lots of great reasons to be at PLC-Grinnell this Sunday!

Celebrate Impact

This past weekend was an amazing experience – across all our campuses!  If you would like to see what awesome stuff happened at the other campuses, check them out HERE:

In Grinnell, we had a great time thanking our volunteers and celebrating the impact that they are making around here.

We baptized EIGHT people and celebrated their commitment to Jesus during some great worship.

 

And we ate some tasty food with our volunteers to wrap it all up.

What continues to be abundantly clear is that God is present and powerful, changing lives for His glory around here!  And that is an amazing thing to be a part of – one that I will NEVER get tired of!

How to be dissatisfied

OK.  I know I say this a lot, but you DON’T want to miss this weekend at PLC-Grinnell.  The worship is going to be awesome (as usual).  Check it out HERE (Revelation Song by Jesus Culture is our last song not included on the list, FYI).  The message is going to be good for all of us, as we ALL struggle with discontentment to some degree. But I might be the most excited for a video that will feature our very own Jonathan Nance that will be playing right away at the top of the service.  So, not only do you not want to MISS church, you better not be LATE to church, or you might miss Jonathan’s acting debut!

Easter revisited

 

This is just a little reminder about the great experience we had together Easter weekend. 

Over 200 people committed to being “finished” with something!

There was great worship and we were encouraged by the enormous love of Jesus!

These things (and more) made a very moving and meaningful weekend.

But the key is not leaving it there. 

Are we still fighting to be finished?

Are we still working to surrender our lives to Jesus?

I just encourage you to remember the moment and let it continue to move you closer to Jesus.

OUCH! Week 3

Join us this Sunday for week 3 of the OUCH! Series, where we as a church get to learn “How To Commit Adultery” from Pastor John.  It will be a great message for us to see just how easy it is to wreck your life, but also be reminded of the grace and forgiveness waiting for us at the foot of the cross.

Oh yeah, there will be some sweet worship as well!  Evan Deuth is coming down from CF again to lead us, so you don’t want to miss out!  Check out the set list HERE.

If we don’t see you Friday and Saturday at the Art of Marriage Conference, we hope to see you Sunday!

theRock & theRoad

Just a reminder that theRock & theRoad will be back in the Worship Center tonight!  Woo Hoo!  That means there will be worship, games, small groups, and a great message by Phil!  Don’t miss it!

Also, put May 1^st on your calendar: that will be theRock & theRoad’s end of the year party.  We will be grilling out in the park across from the community center and having an all around good time – so invite your friends!
